Emily Evans

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Emily to the Atelier Interiors team! From the moment we met her, we knew she brought not only design talent, but a calm presence, thoughtful perspective, and genuine care for both the process and the people involved.

Emily’s approach to design is rooted in intention and relationship

which are qualities that align deeply with our studio’s values.

We sat down for a candid chat to learn more about what inspires her, how she approaches her work, and what lights her up—both in and outside the studio.

We love hearing what sparks someone’s creative path—what drew you to interior design in the first place, and what keeps that fire going today?

I’ve always been fascinated by how spaces impact our moods and daily lives. Designing with intention and helping clients transform their homes into places of comfort and joy is what fuels my passion every day.

That connection between how a space feels and how we live in it is so real—design really can shift everything. Speaking of which, how would you describe your design approach and your role on the Atelier team?

My design approach is thoughtful and client-centered. I focus on understanding each client’s unique lifestyle and preferences to create spaces that are both functional and beautiful. Within the Atelier Interiors team, I collaborate closely with architects, builders, and other designers to ensure every detail aligns with the overall vision.

You clearly put a lot of heart into the process. What do you find most meaningful about working so closely with clients on their homes?

What I find most meaningful is the trust clients place in me to help shape their personal spaces. Being part of that journey—from their dreams and stories to a home that truly reflects who they are—is incredibly rewarding.

There’s something really sacred about that level of trust. I know faith is an important part of your life—how does that show up in your work or mindset each day?

Faith grounds me and reminds me to approach each project—and every person I work with—with patience, kindness, and integrity. It encourages me to stay hopeful and focused, even when challenges arise, and to seek purpose and meaning in the work I do.

You can feel that calm, steady energy in how you show up. What’s a core value that you bring with you into your work, day in and day out?

Respect is a core value for me—it guides how I listen to clients and teammates alike. I believe that understanding different perspectives leads to better designs and stronger collaboration.

Yes to that. Respect really is the foundation for great collaboration. So tell me—what are you most excited to grow into as you move into this next chapter of your design career?

In this next phase of my career, I’m excited to deepen my skills in understanding product information and specifications. I love that every project gives me the chance to learn something new, and expanding this expertise will help me make more informed design decisions and create spaces that truly work for my clients.

That curiosity will take you far. Let’s talk about the design process—what’s your favorite part and why?

My favorite part of the design process is the initial concept phase—when ideas, inspiration, and vision all start to take shape. There’s something so exciting about translating a client’s personality and needs into a cohesive design direction.

It’s that moment where it all begins to click—love that. Outside the studio, what brings you joy or helps you recharge?Outside the studio, I find joy in spending time with friends and family, quiet mornings with coffee, and getting outdoors when I can—whether that’s a long walk, a weekend getaway, or just a moment in the sun. Those little resets keep me inspired and grounded.

A good coffee and some sunshine can do wonders. What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?People might be surprised to learn that I love making candles. I enjoy gifting them to friends and family, and I have a passion for discovering unique containers at thrift stores to give each candle its own special touch.

That’s such a sweet detail—so personal and creative. Okay, let’s do a little rapid fire...

Coffee or tea? Coffee.

Morning or evening? Morning.

Beach or mountains? Mountains.

Brisket or tacos? Tacos.

Fabric swatches or floor plans? Fabric swatches—always!

Last one—every Texan has a few telltale traits. What’s something unmistakably “Texas” about you?

As a proud native Texan, I’ll never give up my love for Tex-Mex—there’s just nothing like it! I also say 'y’all' without even thinking about it, and I genuinely believe there’s no better sunset than a Texas one.

We’re so glad to have Emily on board—her heart, her eye, and her quiet strength bring so much to our studio. If you haven’t had the chance to work with her yet, trust us—you’re in for something special.
