Nestled in the heart of a bustling city, this ground-up construction project redefines what it means to create a family home. Transitioning from high-rise living, our clients envisioned a space where their grown children and expanding families could gather—one that would serve as both a retreat and a hub for connection. At 6,900 square feet and spanning three thoughtfully designed levels, this home is a seamless blend of modern elegance and organic warmth.

The first floor sets the stage for effortless entertaining, featuring a gracious great room, an open dining area, and a striking refrigerated wine display. Natural stone, wood, and metal elements weave throughout the space, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.

Ascending to the second floor, a true sanctuary awaits. Devoted entirely to the owners, this level houses a serene primary suite complete with a private living area, a luxurious bedroom, and a spa-like bath, all complemented by a spacious custom-designed closet. The third floor is a haven for guests, offering an informal living area and two well-appointed bedrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy. Across every level, intimate patios extend the living experience outdoors, each providing a unique vantage point of the surrounding cityscape.

Throughout the interiors, architectural details shine—from the sculptural custom-slab fireplace to the wine feature that balances both form and function. The materiality of the home celebrates nature in a modern composition, embracing rich textures and organic finishes. While the architecture provides a timeless foundation, the client’s love for color shaped the home’s personality. Moving away from the muted tones of their previous residence, they embraced a palette of deep blues and vibrant turquoises, introduced through a stunning hand-knotted rug in the great room—the piece that set the tone for the entire design. Art played an equally defining role, with the couple’s curated collection finding renewed energy in each space, creating layers of history and meaning throughout the home.

Our all-inclusive package included close partnership with the builder/architect and their design team. We participated in the selection of hard surfaces throughout the house including tile, counters, wall treatments, trim, cabinetry, cabinet hardware, and plumbing fixtures. We sourced, procured and installed all of the furnishings, rugs, and drapery in addition to curating and styling the accessories through out the house.

With every detail carefully considered, this residence is more than a house—it’s a place where generations will gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.
